Gertrude Ochap

Gertrude Ochap, 88, of DuBois, passed away at 9:45 P.M., Sunday, June 1, 2003 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL.
Gertrude was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois.  She was a former member of Catholic Daughters, St. Theresa Sodality, and K of C Ladies Auxiliary.  
She was born March 4, 1915 at Todds Mill, IL, the daughter of Michael and Pearl (Marchwinski) Dalman.
She married Peter Ochap on January 29, 1934 at Todds Mill, IL and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters - Marcella Majewski of Tamaroa and Celestine Borowiak of Mt. Vernon, one brother - Edward Dalman of DuBois, eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers - John, Charles, and Leo Dalman, one sister - Cecelia Leffner, one half brother - Felix Dalman, three half sisters - Mary Mavers, Rose Belinski, and Agnes Dalman, and one grandson.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 5, 2003 at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary was prayed at 7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home by Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo.
Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery at DuBois, IL.
